Without doubt, circumstances over the past few years have enabled risk managers to emerge from the shadows. Risk management has cemented its place on the boardroom agenda, as businesses discovered their ultimate success and failure is down to an effective crisis management plan.
Collaborative transition has become a byword for successful risk management, as we move from one global threat to the next. Risk managers and their industry partners are together paving the way forward using innovation and resourcefulness to create a new framework for the future.
This year, as we launch the 6th European Risk Management Awards, we believe it is more important than ever to recognise the achievements of individuals and teams in this critical field.
As usual, we look to reward achievement in three categories:
Excellence in Risk Management, Industry Excellence and Training & Education Excellence.
We are launching a new award for 2022, which will be decided by a public vote –
Business Continuity Programme of the Year.
The deadline for entries is 29th June 2022 – we look forward to hearing from you!
We invite you to enter your submission for this year’s programme, and look forward to seeing you celebrate in-person in London on 22nd November 2022!
Why should you enter? Here's what last year's nominees say...
These awards are extremely important for the entire risk management industry, because it is a great opportunity to make this crucial job heard and seen globally. The individual stories highlight the successes and the benefits of the function within multinational organisations. It is equally important to show the next generation how attractive such a role could be.
The awards can be an encouragement to move risk managers out of their comfort zone. They make people aware that good work will be rewarded and this behaviour will be passed on to the rest of the team, departments and companies.
The European Risk Management Awards emphasise risk management excellence and reinforce the criticality of applying robust risk management in order to deliver resilient, successful and sustainable business performance.
The awards help raise the profile of the profession both externally as well as internally within the company through highlighting the achievements of the insurance and risk function.
The awards are a wonderful platform to give the energy boost required to lift risk manager's heads up from routine risk analysis work and become more compassionate, relatable and open in working with their business by improving decision making, planning and performance management.
