For this award we are seeking to recognise and highlight the combination of knowledge, innovation, risk management best practice and the ability to foresee risks and prevent dangerous endgames.

Rising Star of the Year

This category is open to individual European in-house private and public sector risk and insurance managers with less than five years’ experience.

The reputation of the risk management profession has been developed over the course of many years, however for this award we are seeking to acknowledge the stars of the future and someone with a fresh view on the profession.
In the early stages of their career as a risk manager, with less than five years of experience as an ERM or insurance manager, the candidate will nevertheless have a good knowledge and understanding of the successes and failures of the past, but more importantly will have an appetite for innovation to address the developing needs and challenges faced by corporates in today’s rapidly changing environment.
Innovation of the Year
Who can enter?
This category is open to teams or individual European in-house private and public sector risk and insurance managers from within their organisation.
Category description
Innovation thrives in difficult economic times especially as risk becomes ever more interconnected. This category will reward the successful implementation of an innovative ERM or insurance programme that highlights fresh thinking from risk and insurance managers and / or their colleagues when tackling complex risk challenges across their organisation.
The innovative programme should address one of the four global, interconnected and potentially systemic trends of crucial relevance to European risk managers and their organisations in the mid to long-term. Those trends are, in no order of importance: geopolitical shifts, technological acceleration, climate change and human capital.
Association Award 2025
Who can enter?
This category is open to working or recently retired (within two years) private or public sector individuals, or to an initiative created by an association, that has made a significant contribution to the development or outcomes of a European risk management association.
PLEASE NOTE: YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO NOMINATE YOURSELF FOR THIS AWARD

Whether large or small, these national associations provide a community, a valuable resource, education and a collective voice for individual risk and insurance managers, positively influencing the role they play within their organisation.
By awarding this honour, the judging tribunal will recognise a person who they believe has made an outstanding, significant and long-lasting contribution to the wider risk management community through their tireless executive or non-executive role/s with a risk management association or associations, or to an initiative created by a risk management association with the same goal.
